isn't it weird how it took over 2 years to make 358/2 Days but it only took one year to make birth by sleep

Featured Replies

What? I took like 5 years to finish birth by sleep. They were interrupted by chain of memories, but it stiill took much longer than 358/2 days.

Well that would xplain the lack of good graphics in 358/2 days

MasterXemnas is right, it took the 5 years to make Birth By Sleep due to Re:CoM holding up the process of making BBS. And it only took them 2 years to make 358/2 days. So I wouldn't say that it's "weird". And what does graphics have to do with anything? It's a DS game for the nintendo DS. The DS has less GB than that of the PSP.

Yeah. bbs took a while. With days it only took maybe 3 years. Cause it was mostly text. They didn't need it dubbed that much. With bbs, the game is over 90 percent dubbed.

Like what they said it took like 2 years to finish Days and 3 years to finish bbs

it doesnt take THAT long to dubb and text.. That isn't the reason it took bbs longer. There is more to it.

It didn't take 3 years to make BBS it took them 5 years due to Re:Com being made.

Just because BBS was released one year after 358/2 Days so doesn't that mean it took one year to make BBS. They have different team.

They started on BBS for 5 years ago, but it was put on hold because the team working on BBS began to work on Re:Com instead. After they were done with Re:Com they continued with BBS. So took around 3 years to make.

It's a DS game, that's why the graphics weren't as good as on the PS2.

They started on BBS in 2005, stopped working on it and started to work on Re:Com instead, they finished Re:Com after one to two years, then they started working on BBS and finished it sometime in by the end of 2009. So in the end, they only used around three years working on BBS.

Saying that it took them five years to make BBS because they started on it in 2005 is like saying it took you a whole week to finish your homework, when you only worked on it on Monday and Sunday, it only took two days to do and same goes for BBS, it only took them three years to make it.

Over estimating the power's of the Ds and it's games are we? You must remember that you can only fit so much into that little cartridge, and considering the complexity of Kingdom Hearts, the graphics are quite reasonable, and you should be grateful for those voiced cut scenes in the game, look at the bright side of this. Imagine if we never even got the game, then what would you have to complain about? Nothing, but since there would be no game to criticize, then we would criticize that, so be grateful we have the game.

Pretty much this. The company as a whole doesn't work together on one game at a time. They split up into various teams, each designated an individual project. Days was being made by a few select members of SE and h.a.n.d. BBS was being made by the Osaka Team, who had to put off development for a year to make Re:CoM. The Osaka Team is also making 3D right now.

4 years actually, about the average time for a main title. Re:CoM took just about a year from start to finish.

It took 2 years for Square Enix to make Days, while it took them 5 years for BBS

It wasn't because that Square Enix didn't spend as much time on 358/2 Days then Birth By Sleep. It was because the DS couldn't contain as good graphics while the PSP could

No one's trying to bug you intentionally. We're all just leaving a response : No reason to take offense.

Like Reversal said, we're not bugging you, we're just telling you what you want to know. Simple as that.
