I have a crit file now with the first 3 actual bosses beat with all pro codes active but I'm abandoning it for normal crit so I can get to Re:Mind crit.

Just... keep that file for later... yeah.

(So far it seems the rock titan, the three titan fight, and the demon tide in twilight town count for getting merit points)
