Having some dark moments doesn't make the whole game a dark game. KH1 had some dark moments but it's not a dark game by any definition. Same goes for KH3

but nomura said kh3 was dark in an interview before kh3 release. so...

The darkest it ever went was with Sora dying and the whole Secret Boss stuff

I think all the games can be pretty lighthearted but have the dark and serious moments it needs to whenever
