When we first learn xehanorts name in kh2 its a big deal

It makes more sense that it is someone we know though. Xehanort's shock to the name even was one thing. Not to mention in the ReMind Interviews with Nomura he literally mentions that saying the true identity of someone would ruin the surprise for players later on

It's a big deal because it's the first plot twist in that game. So far you expected the heartless's person to also be called Ansem.

Master of Masters on the other hand has had both UX and Back Cover as set up but no hint as to what his name is.

By the point of the interview we already knew about Luxu so it only left MoM. Nomura's answer to that question was implying it more toward MoM

It wasn't for Yozora, the interview was before ReMind launched

Remind was the perfect time to reveal his name

You had a great scene between YX and MoM

But then it was just blue balling instead

Nameless Star, Project X, Nameless Star friend

And before ReMind we didn't know much about Yozora let alone that he isn't Yozora

At least with Project X and somewhat Nameless star, you can guess who they are and it's likely

MoM has none of it whatsoever

But for the most part people have mostly speculated MoM'd true identity
