I haven't been in the yugioh scene in a long time but why are there four decks on the field

normal deck and extra deck for each player

Why is there an extra deck

it's where fusion, xyz and synchro monsters go

link monsters i believe too

and it's capped to 15 cards

Konami almost killed the game once because they tried to limit extra deck summons

and it destroyed 90% of the decks

because decks are now build around extra deck summons

This is why i like the ps2/GameCube games better
