I didn't know Paypal had an option like that

STOP

kye why

wouId you have him in the image

ik you didn't make the meme but DAWG

Nintendo switch 2 being digital only gaming :pepehands:

Yes there may be some game cards that are physical but majority would be read off

I'm only buying nintendo games

Hell no on 3rd party

Even if their games are digital only? Like physical cards are empty and you have to download off it

You'd still?

It would say on the bottom of the box if it's just a game card key

HOW MUCH GB?

what game is that for?

ohh wait that's just the temp stuff nbm

either way, this is the most scummy way I've seen a game company move away from physicaI

Iike geez man grow a spine

not to defend it at all, it is scummy as hell, but sony's been doing it for years lol

and i've hated it there too

mhm

my issue with this is
sure some capcoms- I mean companies
have been doing this for a whiIe

it's not fine, it's awfuI regardIess

but at Ieast they were speciaI cases

this is 100% gonna be used for just about every singIe 3rd party game

im pretty sure with sony though, it at least installs the base game without internet when it can? and only updates and such require internet. nintendo's making it entirely internet based and is literally just a key to use your game

there's no way square compresses FF7R to fit on a 32GB cart, or even a 64GB cart

they're just gonna do this shit

no no, every single ps5 game does this already. unless you mean on switch 2, in which case yeah most 3rd party is probably going to just do this to be lazy

ohhh you mean that?
no no these are different
game key card boxes mean the box is empty

the cartridge

hoIds 0 data

you'II downIoad the entire game, and you'II stiII need to insert the cartridge to pIay it so it's not even tied to your account

it's worthIess

yeah its taking a step even further away from what sony's currently doing

as for pIaystation, the discs actuaIIy have the data on them
you're right in that they onIy need internet for updates and whatever

you still need the disc in to verify and play your games on ps5, but at least it HAD data to install from locally

but you can pIay games without internet on pIaystation
but if you get these? teehee no

yeah

what the heII are we doing

today was supposed to be a day of ceIebration and yet aII I can think of is it's joever for physicaI games
everyone foIIows the main men's exampIe

give pubIishers any Ieeway and they'II abuse it to heII and back

and that also just brings up the question of: are these going to be one use/account keys?? like is the resell value entirely DEAD after the first tie to an account??

probabIy not?

it's Iike uhhh

when you downIoad the PS5 version of a PS4 game, via the PS4 disc

you downIoaded the PS5 version from the internet, but you need the PS4 disc as verification

so it isn't tied to your account, rather the disc

why can't we just have the dumbass games on the stupid cartridge

the switch 2 has 256GB of storage but how quickIy is that gonna be compIeteIy fiIIed up

because companies are too lazy to learn optimal compression methods
