not exactly blown away by lanterns first episode. not exactly a great way to start, seeing as you ought to be bringing your A game from the start

It's a good introduction to their dynamic at least. I feel like if john and hal dynamic isn't shown properly in the first episode then the series is doomed.

After this they can lean into some of the other stuff

Overall loved it but wish we got to the ending of the episode a tad later in the season but oh well.
