I really feel like they're lying to us about no new story elements

doubt it. if remake series is indeed a sequel like we've all suspected, CC should still be happening the same way regardless

it'll just be background for new players that saw remake ending and thought who the firetruck

and why is that important

feel like if they wanted to do new story elements then it would have been a bigger remake style project instead of just taking CC and putting a fresh coat

Ok but look at intergrade, I'm sure a bunch of people don't know who Nero or Weiss are and I don't think they are gonna remake Dierge

and thats cause DoC elements are being added to remake itself, just like BC and CC elements have already been sprinkled in

Plus CC story is already gonna be covered in Ever crisis so why retell cc story twice?

Fair, I didn't play those games so I didn't pick up on that

Zacks story is very important to Cloud's development and is even bigger of a chess piece now with remakes ending

you assume everyone would want to play EC

its a mobile game

Still I don't think the story is going to be completely the same as the original crisis core I still think they're going to be some elements slightly tweaked to at least reference the other games and possibly even remake.

any changes i think are only going to be in EC because it's going to be a huge telling of the entire franchise and needs gaps and holes fixed to be more coherent imo
