No Nomura and Kitase did say in the interview that Reunion and Evercrisis will have a connection to to 7R

I'm pretty sure that was more along the lines of "this is still a prequel story that happens before everything else, which includes 7R". i dont really think that confirms a connection

Yeah if you think about most the trailers show for Reunion most of the events remained unchanged, and interview did say nothing will change storywise for it

like i think they were trying to hint that its still the original game, which is still in its original position in the timeline of things, as opposed to 7R with changes that either puts this in its own category separate from compilation, or like others have mentioned, is an actual sequel in disguise

Well the first movie was actually not a reboot but a pseudo sequel, because it had Leonard Nimoy future spock come to the reboot/remake timeline near the end to talk to reboot/remake Spock, and the main villain of the movie came from OG timeline and invaded reboot/remake one

ah yeah basically that if 7R turns out to be a sequel then lmfao

For all we know Sephiroth from AC/OG probably used the lifestream to cross over to Remake timeline, the said could be same for Aerith, they can't return to the original timeline so both stuck in Remake timeline

whatever it is, I'm pretty sure the events of OG, thus CC as well, MUST have happened for Aerith and Sephiroth to know what they do lol

that or like they somehow looked into the future
