I think y’all underestimate the power of the casual family consumer. The Wii and Switch are as big as they are because they managed to appeal to people who’d normally never have a gaming console in their house.

Parents like having a family-friendly option to choose from, and the vast majority of Nintendo's console releases are full of that.

Take away the Nintendo console, and your options are now much more limited.

Then you get more kids screaming obscenities in COD lobbies.

Everyone gets a console for exlcusives or they can prefer what they like better than the other.

It's the same reason why people bought PS4s for Bloodborne and PS5s for DeSR.

Exclusives sell consoles.
