1) gt7 also got a ps4 backport which still runs at 60fps SMH

I am not that surprised, the pandemic pushed things back quite a bit and with the chip shortages it makes sense to still support the old consoles when the new ones can't keep up with demand

They have something ps will forever be jealous about

Actual backwards compatibility with old consoles ps4 is a step forward

I'm unsure if I wanna buy it cus I'm on xbox, though it's a first party game so i doubt it'll be taken down anytime soon

There was something odd about hyping ray tracing but it would take until last weel for full time rt to be added to the game

Maybe if Microsoft had used its money to scoop up some smaller studios to increase Xbox’s first party offerings instead of entering this prolonged battle for Activision-Blizzard which might not even go through they’d have more than Halo and Forza propping up the brand

When talking about brand recognition, you have to consider what you can offer that your competitors cannot. Currently, Microsoft has very little on that list.

Purchasing all of Activision is…um…definitely a valid way to do that, but a very risky one. And I don’t think Microsoft is in a good position to take risks; given their current place in the gaming market.

Buying AB is such a long-term play it really doesn’t make sense for Xbox’s current state. They’re not going to strip Overwatch off PS, and they’re not going to be able to make CoD exclusive (or put it on Game Pass) for years and years if ever. So really all this deal would do is let Xbox take a slice of AB’s profits. Good for them, but it doesn’t do jack to increase Xbox’s offerings.

since l know pIenty peopIe that consider faIIout and eIder scroIIs an xbox game
considerabIy heIped by the 360 ports of the series's being better than the PS3 ones

but outside of that
who out here tryna teII me Crash and Spyro make sense as Xbox excIusives

And on top of that, a studio that is known for cutting corners and rushing games out to market

IIRC Bethesda has put out sales numbers in the past that show that their sales on Xbox, even well before the acquisition, were significantly higher than on PS. Yet, Bethesda was willing to make Deathloop and Tokyo Ghostwire temporary PS exclusives putting Xbox in a awkward spot after buying them out.

Xbox’s own studios already do that, so in that respect AB will feel right at home.
