At the end of the day... the shift towards 'live services' needs to stop considering how many have failed and been shut down. But CEOs don't care. They want to swim in money =/ and keep shilling nfts

Agreed. A person can realistically only play a set number of live service games simultaneously before they start to get overwhelmed by either a) how much they're missing out on or b) investing more time than they have in order to prevent missing out on anything

It's one of the reasons I wasn't able to fully get into multiversus, especially considering how the battle pass for that game was one of the better ways to get premium currency to unlock characters

I was already tired of them but seeing what they were gonna do to that Suicide Squad game made me actively hate them.

The only 'live service' I actively like and play... is Fall Guys. I played Chocobo GP for a bit before Fall Guys hit Switch... but even that died. The game was fun... but the scummy microtransactions pretty much killed it. They eventually fixed it (I'm not joking they did. I was still playing it at the time of the fix) but it was far too little too late to undo the damage. Plus... other criticisms that I 'get' but I was having fun at the time so I didn't care
