so ff7 remake is a true remake

its the actual definition

FF7 is more of a reimagination than a remake

In gaming terms most remakes are just remaking the same stuff to a modern console

FF7R did something different, it's the outlier in the gaming world

Exactly

Something like RE4 is considered a remake

and it shouId stay the outIier

my guy

Metal Gear Solid 3 might be going in the FF7R direction ,that one will be interesting to see

we know what the word means
but that's not how it's used in games

FF7R is a totaI one of a kind here

and it reeeaaIIy shouId stay that way

The definition can be whatever it wants to be but in the context of games FF7R is the outlier. It's nothing like most remakes out there.

its still a true remake in terms of that definition i linked

It's shouldn't be the norm but I don't think it's something that shouldn't be tried again

Oh nah, I have no source on this. It's just a gut feeling.

What do you mean? Konami said they were gonna Destroy All Humans it and use the same game and Voice Acting but give it a new coat of paint?

So is MGS3 a remaster or remake?
