i think the problem is when the criticism is practically a kneejerk reaction, you know? like, you'd hate it if someone always replied to you saying you like something by pointing out its flaws, even if you agree with them about said flaws
(the kneejerk praise suffers from the same problem)

They’re nice to look at, maybe a little tasteful, but have no substance.

I feel like I could make a better design while half asleep and dehydrated.

That’s my main issue with Genshin. So many of the designs look uninspired.
