I hope it's like in Octopath Traveler 2. In Octopath Traveler 2 there's a mechanic where you can switch between both parties during combat

and it's really firetrucking amazing

the characters of both parties share a turn with each other

so you have a lot of decision making

I am still curious how Red XIII will work btw

it's just concernalyzing but the revenge mechanic sounds useless if he's ai 💀

I can see that being an ability

blue mage is the thing I am most curious

they know it was absolutely broken in og ff7

and in 7 Remake it was mostly useless

but 7 Remake didn't have the op abilities

you get all of these in the first 15 hours of og ff7

yes

it has imo the best turn-based combat

the only thing that ruins the game a tiny bit is the warrior character

because he's broken for early and mid game

and 1 turns all enemies

You may have just sold me on Octopath 2. I’m a real turn-based enthusiast.

the secret boss in ot 2 is a yozora

but with turn-based combat

the boss makes every turn matter
