most likely answer is probably the right one: hl just wasn't the hit it was built up to be

hl just felt like it had way more put into marketing. i never saw a single thing actually said about the game, just marketing to sell it

ff16 wasn't exactly what i wanted from a ff game but it was circulating on socials and still is

I mean I still hear people talk about the story, music, and characters of ff16. The most recent thing I heard on HL is the switch release

imo people don't really talk about HL because it's a game made for non-gamers

the average HL andy is not as deep in gaming as FF fans

Plus, it doesn't seem like anything that came out of it was as memorable as other releases

Like I know nothing about any of the characters or story or anything on HL cuz I haven't seen people talk about it. I've seen a good bit on ff16's story since people still talk about their favorite characters and songs and set pieces and what not even from not playing any of them
