I wouldn't mind a more linear Zelda game again if they break the formulaic nature of the past games because my god that shit is so boring

get 3 macguffins -> get the master sword -> do 3-6 other dungeons -> final boss

same for the puzzles in dungeons

after you get the dungeon item there's barely interesting puzzles because the puzzles become so one dimensional and are basically a tutorial for the new item you got

majoras mask was one of the few games that felt like it had more variety due to the mask system
