This is a brand new studio with a brand new IP, 1 million is amazing here

Even 500k was a lot for this

There's brand new studios with brand new IPs that sold more than FF games

it's a great number for them for sure

but it's not evidence that turn-based AAA works

my point is they aren't comparable

BG3 devs suffered from a similar issue

What you get with AAA is also AAA marketing, which is something this game didn't have

and I think the fact that they have to try so hard to make this happen is firetrucked up
