completely forgot to finish my thoughts on this bc of work yesterday lol
my hope is that since I enjoyed watching Moon Knight a lot and then started reading the very different comics for him and enjoyed that as well, hopefully in this case it'll be the reverse but similar situation where I love her comics but still also enjoy the show even though it's looking quite different

we shall see soon enough

I'm cautiously optimistic about this One Piece adaption even though I did somewhat enjoy the Cowboy Bebop one but there are parts that really miss the mark for me, hopefully this adaption might hit home for the most part

i'll also retain cautious optimism. oda is involved, and that already helps me feel a bit better about it

Got Final Fantasy 7 for the PS1, actually never played it in full before, so its gonna be fun. Only know how the main story goes but thats really it

Oh yeah definitely, but if anything I think netflix could have gone with smaller lesser known anime to adapt like bio booster armored guyver or golgo 13 so they have room to experiment more and do better than high profile IPs

Yes, I'm going to wait till they put the whole thing on the table before I come to my final decision to be interested into it
But I guess in short it does remind me of Crimson Desert even the art direction looks pretty similar in that certain aspect, although Crimson Desert has the appeal of certain different races in its setting not just humans.

I don't mind it, so long as the areas are memorable. They are also clearly taking a more grounded medieval fantasy inspiration than high fantasy one. And with FF I care more about the story than anything, which hopefully this has a good one.

FF14 has plenty of dud places too, Endwalker had a huge one like that. The story is what made those places more memorable.

Ah, I don't exactly agree with that cause there are lots of great ones too just purely for looks.

Considering they had to rebuild it from original version of 14, it's a really hard take
14 has a complicated history, you have the original version of 14 which was done by the team that did 11 but that wasn't received well, then you have the current version of the game that you see now by a different team

The marketing for this is holding a lot back, they have barely showin anything

First trailer showed some of the characters and the overarching story, the new one showed off the summons and a bit of combat

The next trailer will most likely show the world

Agreed they are holding back alot of info and details even ones they haven't shown yet, so yeah very different approach to marketing than what previous producers and their teams have done

if the worId has interesting scenery beyond these sad fiIIer areas
