I would ask for a listen of “BEST FF games to play” but I know that’s a list of more than 10 games and I fear for my sanity.

"best to play" is loaded, it's a subjective question. better place to start is "what kind of games do you like to play, and are there any ff games that give you the same/a similar experience"

for example, if you don't like old-school turn-based, then you can probably skip the first 10 games. or if you dislike mmos, you'd want to skip 11 and 14

Turn based is definitely not my favorite.

I'm more of an explorer/Dark Souls/Bloodborne type of combat.

hmm... not sure there's a soulslike in ff yet. you might give 12, 15, and 7 remake a try. those ones seem like they have aspects of what you're into

This show keeps getting better and better, easily turning into one of my favorite Marvel shows, the pacing is perfect and the twist with Kamran at the end I did not see coming lol, more intrigued then ever.
