they use a different US studio for recording compared to Remake and they don't do the extra mile to participate in the recordings. That's why the english one isn't great. JP dub is a lot better

nah I absolutely agree with the dialogue and voice xD

it just doesn't bother me because I don't really play these games for the story

asano games are always gameplay first for me

Asano games peaked regarding story for me with the gay shit in OT2

Like don't get me wrong, its a pretty fun game altogether

The cutscene direction is insane for HD2D and I so badly wish all the Visions and Summons were in this style rather than just normal 3D animation

But its not a replacement for a mainline game, but its a good start

I'd say it's a very good start to a new branch of side games that's for sure. just like how zelda split into bigger budget 3D games and smaller but still very good 2D games scattered in between

using an older gacha game they had as a base for a testing ground for this formula was pretty smart all things considered

put what budget they do have into making it super fun and pretty because they don't have to worry too much about the story and script that's already mostly handled

then when it's successful they get a bigger budget to do brand new things with this

one thing I don't want them is going AAA

it will completely suck the soul out of the game

turn-based FF should have fixed camera angles etc.

no full 3D like FFX or E33 pls
