I genuinely don't think this is a multiverse thing

While that is happening in Strange 2, I think this is either just a civilian who is acting like Pietro or Mephisto/villain acting like Pietro

I loved the cheap recast joke

but why would it be the exact actor who played that exact character in the xmen movies

i doubt its just a coincidence

they wouldnt make something so blatant just for a reference

or something so important to the plot

They did the same in The Flash show with JWS playing Jay Garrick and Barry's dad when he used to play Barry Allen before

but that show DID use it as other worlds/universes/earths

It did but that also came later on

so the tv show version of him with that OG was basically just another earth

oh you meant barrys dad, not when he shows up again as the flash from another earth

the real question is whether he's under wanda's thrall and his real personality is being suppressed (ala norm) or whether she just grabbed his appearance from the multiverse and created a construct
