Salutes, is the Manga canon? I have read a lot that the manga has details that are not in the games, but is it canon?

I mean it simply tells the story of the games with some extra details if there was a unique story in it and it was referenced in the games than yes 

as for those extra details not in the game I guess its canon I see no reason why not

many of the extra details in manga series have been contradicted by later games. they cant be canon

The manga is like the novels; they're both adaptations of the game, but altered to suit the tastes and interests of the writer. The games, the manga, and the novels, despite telling the same general story, all have different continuities and are not canon to each other.

Both the Kingdom Hearts Manga and Novels are not canon. They're just adaptations of the video games with some original extra scenes created by the author. Only the video games, along with Back Cover X movie, are canon into the Kingdom Hearts series. 

Like everyone else said, only the games are canon.

Which is a shame, because the manga is where Sora’s at his best.

I meant expression wise. For the manga specifically.
