Being more colorful and retaining the stuff that actually makes your character iconic is not the same as being rainbow

I know we've moved on from the subject a bit, but just to bring in some clarity:

• Nomura and Tabata worked on versus 13 together after type-0 was completed in 2012, Tabata as co director
• nomura as late as 2013 said that the change to 15 did not mean the game direction had been changed and his ideas were still being kept
• Square announced the director shift in 2014, and nomura's only official statement on the matter was "it was the company's decision, i can't say anymore than that"
• the tricky part about this whole situation is that, even though nomura said in 2013 that the direction had not been shifted, tabata later says in late 2014 that the direction shift had been in the works since 2012

from these bullet points, it seems to me that nomura and tabata butted heads a lot until square stepped in and made nomura focus on KH at the time. so there's no official statement on his feelings but it can be seen that way, especially now that he's returning to these similar ideas for KH4
