Could even be Disney related. Epcot tours the whole world.

Quadratum is really Nomura's version of Epcot😆

Experimental City of Tomorrow, Walt's dream futuristic utopia that ended up becoming one the amusement parks in WDW instead, features pavilions or zones from different parts of the world

i see

@Ryuji_Shiryu I've seen your translation to Nomura's Famitsu article, other translations interpreted one of Nomura's answers as that Yozora wasn't well received when KH3 came out, did he really say that?

there were a few people that weren’t happy because “that’s just noctis”. But I thought that overall people liked Yozora o.O

Unless he means the Japanese portion of the fan base.

He also said fans wanted Riku’s hair short again after KH2 so who knows xD

Overseas fans are excited for Verum Rex?

More accurately, he didn't expect people would expect it to get so much hype, as an alternate interpretations.

This definitely makes much more sense

That's something that's impossible to know, unless he uses the appropriate kanji

To refer to the Japanese people specifically, he would've have to use any kanji that would imply such

...I have a feeling he means the Japanese fanbase too, but again, that's very hard to just state as "the fact" because like I said, this man loves to be vague. xD

I don't think I've ever seen him say Japanese fans didn't like this thing etc.. in any of his previous interviews. If it's something positive maybe he would

As far as I can tell, there is NO sign of the "日本" kanji, which is what would've been used if he wanted to specifically mention

You can't write Japan in any other way other than 日本

And even if you add compounds after that, it still retains its form

So basically he was saying he was worried Yozora wouldn't be well received, but overseas fans seem to be excited about Yozora/Verum Rex?

...OK, I re-read it.

To be frank with you, I was worried that Yozora wouldn't be well received, given that [Japanese fans] didn't sound very welcoming to his appearance in Kingdom Hearts III, but I'm glad they've proved me wrong. The hype for Verum Rex is certainly high. (bitter laugh)

...The train of thought must've been:

sees Japanese fans don't like him

Nomura: Oh, I guess he su-

Overseas fans: YOZORA YOZORA YOZORA-

Nomura: Well shit.

...or at least, that's my headcanon lol

Statistically speaking, since 海外 is ANYTHING outside Japan...xD

You count SEA, Oceania, US, EU, UK...

I think some people were just confused about the Verum Rex ad, maybe Nomura expected most of the fans would recognize the similarities to his previous project and get hyped

Some sort of "huh, nice, an Easter Egg".

'Cause I mean, it's not unheard of when it comes to Square. xD
