I was actually thinking of the same thing earlier. The main story is still in Past scala, but there are like interludes with mickey in present Scala

That's right- Yensid sent him there; he could uncover it in some archive or something

the translations from the event also mention one of the key terms being "multiple scalas" iirc

so it'll be interesting to see

could mean multiple as in we play in different era aka dark scala from UX and the one from KH3
