Like everyone else I have a Mysterious Figure theory. At anytime you can denounce this theory because I have not played BBS yet however, I have seen the cut scenes and some play through but most importantly I've seen people fail at the hands of the Mysterious Figure as well as triumph against him. Also if this theory was already brought up I'm sorry, I've looked and didn't see any like this. Also I do not know how to use spoiler tags so I will try my best not to spoil anything (if anyone wants to tell me how to it will be greatly appreciated).

 

So on with the theory....

I believe MF is a Replica.

 

We all are aware of Xemnas's involvement in the replica program as seen in Days with [spoilerxionSPOILER]. I propose that in at some point in time either MX or Xemnas created MF, however I'm leaning more towards Xemnas.

 

I think Xemnas gathered data from every organization member and implanted said data into this replica. Knowing the end of his life as a nobody was near, Xemnas activated (not sure that is the right word) this replica and ordered it to go back in time to face TAV. Why would he do this? I came to two different answers:

1. To stop TAV from having an impact on the future.

-A couple problems arise with this like which is why I tend to side with option two

2. To gather information on TAV in order to accomplish one of yet again two more objectives.

-Gather information on those three wielders to rely back to Xemnas's next life [spoilerasmasterxehanortSPOILER] also allowing said next life to develop a strategy against not only Sora and the others but also against TAV

-To gather data regarding these three and use it toward his benefit (say if he can implant that data also into him)

 

I think I covered the major points in my theory. So what do you think?

Like i said on another thread, i doubt MF is a replica or something similar of Xemnas or Xehanort. Still, this theory is pretty good and well laid out and i salute you for it.

I'm gonna try to answer your questions which by the way are pretty conflicting with this theory so I thank you.

2. why send two? maybe Xemnas was confident in sending one or maybe he has more but only one that can time travel

 

3. I like to think the replica would look like Xemnas or Xehanort

OR MAYBE if MX created him he might of forgotten some events so he sent MF back in time

After making a replica out of Riku and Sora/Roxas, it doesn't seem that hard to make copies of one.

It's logical but at the same time it isn't, because if Xemnas sent a replica back in time to stop TAV, and the replica succeeded in stopping them, it would be a paradox, and the whole event would never happen, because MF defeating Terra would halt the creation of Terranort/Xehanort, thus halting the creation of Ansem and Xemnas, disrupting the laws of space and time.

That's why I tend to side with the second option...he was designed as a last resort by Xemnas to gather information about TAV for MX for him in order to be prepared for sora and co. + TAV.

I just think it's Xemnas's lost brother. His favorite color was probably black and liked wearing robes.

-In cannon, MF doesn't defeat TAV, but is able to collect data from Ventus.

-That's because of the fact he wields his blades backwards and he doesn

Personally, I think many people are believing that the MF is related to Xehanort/Xemnas. I think differently. Ven lost his heart, so wouldn't that give him a nobody? I believe that the MF is Ven's nobody. He holds the "Ethereal Blades" backwards, and c'mon, how many characters in the Kingdom Hearts storyline hold their weapons backward? As for the reason why Ven would be fighting his own nobody...well, Aqua supposed to be in the realm of darkness, Terra is possesed by Xehanort, and Ven lost his hearts (therefore creating the MF). Therefore, the fight against the MF has the same concept as the secret ending; everybody said "Sora", even though most of them were physicially unable to do so.

Personally, I think many people are believing that the MF is related to Xehanort/Xemnas. I think differently. Ven lost his heart, so wouldn't that give him a nobody? I believe that the MF is Ven's nobody.

Ven had a heart of pure light, therefore his body didn't disappear when he lost his heart and a Nobody wasn't created.

1. digitizing people or journals is completely different from bending space and time,so i don't think they could do that.

 

2. from playing days, xemnas struck me as a really smart guy, cuz he had a backup plan if roxas didn't help him get KH, then he had a backup plan for his backup plan if xion tried to retaliate, so im pretty sure that he wouldn't take a chance like this and only send one. unless this was a test run for the replicas or something and he intended on using them again later, im pretty sure he would have sent an entire army of them.

 

3. if it was a replica, then it wouldn't be MX, because he was way to busy trying to find a new body and forge the Xblade, plus he didn't say anything about replicas n his reports. Xemnas really thought that his plan would work, so he probably didn't think he would need a replica.

 

im not sure if this is right, but Master Yen Sid said in the secret ending for coded that MX was back, and that he had a new acomplice, so he might have meant the MF.

Call me crazy, but I secretly think that the Mysterious Figure is either Doctor Who or a Timelord from the Time War!........I know, i'm a crazy person, but hey, i LIKE this theroy!

1) Nomura said that the time travel doesn't matter so much as MF himself as I have said on another thread. I think he resembles Xemnas when looking at fighting him in KH1 with his appearance and disappearance.
