I'm downloading the demo now, i'm excited to try it. Hopfully I get into it more that SoP

I put in a good amount of time in SoP but never finished it, but I can already tell you I'm having WAY more fun with 16's demo than most of SoP lol

for magic burst windows: try to max the talent. the window gets bigger and is easier to hit

shit is like Nero's exceed. It takes some time to practice

you can ignore it until you learn the timing

for the first playthrough I'd recommend practicing the blade charge. It does more damage and can be charged during eikon attack animations

magic burst seems to be more some high level shit

and if you want to go for full degeneracy try to practice blade charge during a mage burst

and yes it's possible but only maxed out apparently

which means you basically have a combo inside of a combo inside of a combo

this combat system has more depth than I expected

I really loved the demo. The proper way to make a game demo. Immediately pre ordered it. Luckily for me it’s a long weekend next week in Sweden because of midsummer, 4 days of uninterrupted gaming 😄

I still can't believe how great the story is. I went into the story with the expectation that this is as good as Heavensward but this prologue surpassed every XIV expansion in terms of writing, voice acting and cutscene direction

The last time a game opening got me like this was The Last of Us 1

given that a fire sorcerer basically hijacked his body twice to temporarily infuse ifrit to kill joshua (working theory i have) it probably stand as a reason for clive's revenge to find ifrit and kill him. i doubt he knew his mother was behind the plot to kill the king and joshua

For me this entire plot screams FF7

I wouldn't be surprised if a higher being manipulates Clive into collecting all the Eikon powers so it can revive itself
