I do agree that Cloud absolutely refusing Aeriths death is so great and I cant wait to see how much to go for it in Part 3

 

Honestly i was hoping that

aerith was actually still alive and saved

thats the twist i wanted but i didnt agree with keeping that in. Oh well

That would ruin the remake trilogy for me, stuff like this is much better

would still get Aerith stuff in Part 3, but in reality shes still dead for the other group and the others get even more firetrucked up cause Cloud cant accept it. Tifa is gonna get the worst of it, Cloud not comforting her is gonna be a horrible decision down the line and shes gonna snap at some point.

I think its the emotional aspect like the themes of sadness and grief and regret that cloud feels will be amplified to make even more sense of why he's so depressed in ACC, remember in OG

he sorta just gets over it...

 

The fact that

he thinks he succeeded will amplify the sensation of failure and regret when he faces the truth in part 3

 

 

so we might get emo cloud in part 3
