im gonna start

killing the guards in louis ship||, i did all the quests before, the ||baby and orgas

were annoying because of their hp pool

im slowly finding some nice combos so maybe it's just about experimenting a bit more

I am finding buffs and such a lot more helpful in this

I always bring a few with me on each character even after switching archetypes

I maxed out all the confidants

Now I just need to finish all the quests I have and I think I can start finishing the game

yeah faker seems really strong and the next one even more

This is just literally Persona 6 what the hell.
I don't think that can even be properly conveyed because the waters per se have been muddied for years of people being like oh my God this is just like persona (5).
No this is like literally if they made Persona 6 and called it something else it has the exact Persona formula of how the games are designed.
They could have called this Persona 6 and I would have been like yeah I thought the series needed a shake up after 5 but I can still recognize it as Persona.

they unfortunately couldn't call it P6 because the dating sim andies would have gotten a meltdown

this entire game is everything I wanted from a persona game

and I might sound like an self absorbed asshole but I hope we get more metaphor in the future and less persona

but I genuinely love it more and want to see the games releasing faster and they can't do that without sacrificing resources for another game

I am pretty sure the director of p3 to p5 did metaphor and someone else is on P6

technically p1 and p2 also don't play in a school. they are just high schoolers and the high school barely matters in both games 👀

what's crazy is I don't even fully agree that Metaphor is P5 after I played it

Metaphor feels way more like Persona 1 and 2

but with a calendar system and stylish UI

the stylish UI still sucks though

I really hope the game explains during the story why the colour is that way

P5 stylish UI was fitting because the red and crazy animations fit the theme of rebellion and freedom

rn I can't ready any form of artistic approach in the UI. It feels super forced

There's things in common with it mechanically sure, but that's just Atlus' style at this point- to write it off as "it's just Persona" is not just incorrect but it's reductive to the game standing on its own

You don't summon monsters in this, you become a living armor

Nah this is definitely very much designed as a Persona game.
It definitely harkens a lot more to the smt elements in some gameplay aspects but it leans much more heavily to the Persona side and it's not just because of five

I definitely think this game could become atlus's third pillar though since soul hackers failed in that
