I hate how they're so picky.

I hate how they're so contradictory.

I hate almost everything about them.

 

Namely when they lead you to believe that they work fine, only to surprise buttsecks you the next day.

 

Heres the thing:

The family computer has two partitions on it. (Means two computers in one.)

One is Windows , the other is Windows 7... I use . Everyone who uses this computer uses . It has everything going for it... it's just generally user friendly.

Or, it was yesterday.

This morning, I turn the comp' on. Everything goes fine... and then this grey box pops up on my screen with a faded red X in the corner. It tells me that the computer is shutting down, and to save any documents I have running. Then it puts a timer on me, ticking down until shutdown.

So, I turn the computer off by using the manual switch... avoiding whatever that was.

But nope. Comp' comes back on, same grey box.

So... until I get that sorted out... I'm stuck with Windows 7.

And, heres the kicker... the sound is disabled on the windows 7 partition! That means:

No music.

No virtual piano.

No funny videos.

 

-sigh-

 

There isn't a word in the english language to describe my rage...

What about Spanish?

 

Nah, kidding. That really sucks. I never had a problem like that with my computer. You should go ask someone if they know what's going on with it.

The printer.

The effing PRINTER.

I still don't know if the fix is permanent or not... so... the first post still stands.

pfffffft Printer I know MY PRINTER has probs so whenever I wanna print something I have to open the cover and close it and repeat this until it works

The printer? I've had problems like that, but the problem was the memory, hope the fix is permanent. If you have problems with sound on Windows 7 I guess the sound driver is either not activated or with problems, I had that problem with my new PC but it got solved once I downloaded a new driver.

Stupid Printer That is so weird man. Glad the problem is fixed though.

my computer won't run any disc based content properly, to upload a CD i have to:

- connect an external disk drive (hit and miss if my computer even accepts it)

- convert it into an ISO image

- put it into a virtual disc drive.

my CPU is like yours, with 2 OS on it. Win7 for new software and stuff that requires Win7, and Vista for everything else (i don't care what everyone says, Win7 has tonnes of problems with my PC, i've never had a problem with vista)

The little gray box of death? I've had that. You just gotta let the countdown go. You do it until it stops popping up and well, the computer will work fine~

I think it also means it may break soon. When mine did that, well I was absent all summer.

I have a laptop that runs , its a frickin piece of crap. I am perfectly fine with mah, Windows 7 computer.

 

My main computer trouble is the one mentioned above. It runs decently fast (not as fast as this one), if it decides it is in a good mood, which is not often. It takes forever to connect to the internet, and about 80% of the time it says there is something wrong with the connection, all of our other computers will run fine. If you do get it to connect, it will kick you off at random but frequent intervals. Sometimes it won't even let you use the track pad, and we can't use a wireless mouse, because all the USB ports are broke. And no, no viruses, it should run perfectly fine, but it doesn't I keep telling my parents to sell it to someone so they can use it as scrap metal, maybe harvest the decently working parts. On my Windows Vista laptop, we have had to replace the charging cord 6 times. It use to be our best computer. The one thing they have in common? The brand. Long-story short, we will never buy a Toshiba Brand computer again.

That sucks. My printer acts up a lot, but it has never done that to me. Not sure why the sound doesn't work when you run Windows 7 though, thats just weird...

I'm sorry, Rox. D: Maybe call a technition to make sure it's permanently fixed? We had to call one to fix our old computer. Hope it starts being nice to you soon~

Computers can be really stupid at times, my computer doesn't have sound sometimes.
