So, this is something I've been thinking of for awhile now and I thought I put up a thread about it here.

Concerning the Princesses of Heart, does anyone else think they must get reborn after they die? (Yes this is probably something that Square and Disney never gave a second thought to). But it just seems to me that they must do.

The biggest reason behind this theroy is that Master Xehanort seemed to know about all of the Princesses existance, despite Kairi being about four and Alice would have probably been younger.

Then remembering that the names of the Princesses were Ansem's computer's password really struck me as odd. How did he know all of them?? Kairi is understandable. And maybe some of the others as well, but again, it's Alice that strikes me as the odd one. To me she couldn't be more than eleven or twelve by KH1. So, she must have been a todler by KHBBS.

The only possible reason I see to this is that the Princesses must be reborn after they die, with someone who has the exact same name and possibly appearance. (And yes, I'm going to say again. This is something that Square and Disney have not given a second thought to and will be in no way canon.)

I have though my self that Princess of Heart are reborn when they die and probably look similar from life to life, though I doubt they would have the same name. As for how Ansem having their names, could Xehanort (Apprentice) given the names to him?

The masters know of the princesses existance to begin with, its a part of their job to safe guard their existance. Eraqus himself said so. its only natural they would have to know who they are in order to protect them, dont you think? as for the possibility of them being reborn, time can only tell but its possible.

that would be weird considering its disney

How about they just don't age like other Disney characters?

Ah, but Kairi is shown aging, which is why I didn't put that bit into this.

As for rikunobodyxiii's idea I like that. Actually, considering that disney is making more princesses like that from the Princess and the frog and tangled, I suppose that there could be like a cycle of Princesses of heart, with very similar stories and abilities. I actually now like that theroy better than my own.

As for the bit about Xehanort. I suppose, it's possible, but would he remember the Princesses and would he used something Xehanort told him as his password?

Is Kairi from from the Disney side or the Square Enix side? We clearly know that Disney characters don't age.

It could be possible that there are more than just seven princesses of heart, and that only seven are required to open Kingdom Hearts and create the Keyblade of People's Hearts.

Square Enix, admittidly.

The question was rhetorical, but you get the point, she's not a Disney character so she will age.

The princesses of hearts do can actually die. They're not immortal lol. Plus, if you've forgotten KH is a fantasy game. So anything can pretty much happen.

(sorry if i am repeating anything, i didn't read the other's posts, just the first few) but i think you have a point, when the princesses die they probaly ARE reborn, it'll give square a chance to use princess and the frog and tangled (though the little mermaid wasn't concidered a princess of heart, wutever) but i always figured that there are probably lots of princesses of heart, but you only need 7 to open the final door. wouldn't that theory make sence?

That's pretty much what I said.

Hercules ages, Simba ages, and their are a lot more characters are which as backstory of the plot do age such as Tarzan. The disney characters are only as immortal as their disney counterparts.

Hmm... It's an interesting concept...

I'm sure they can die. Anyone can.

What I think happens to the hearts is that they move on to new vessels once their old one dies. Don't have anything to back that up though. It's just an idea.

Except Nomura has stated that in KH universe there is no such a thing as "dying". So, we'll probably never know.

... Unless one of the princesses somehow makes herself un-prinsessofheart. :D

it's weird, if people don't die, wouldn't there be over population? O.o

That's why there's an endless ammount of Heartless and Nobodies. Instead of dying, they lose their hearts and become Heartless. Those with strong hearts become Nobodies. So all those undying people become Heartless and Nobodies, giving Sora pleanty of enemies.

Thank you, King.

I can't remember, where did Ansem use the Princesses names as password?

Remember in Kingdom Hearts 2? I'm pretty sure it's the password to his huge computer system. It was defiantly the password for at least something inside of the computer system.

I can't remember, where did Ansem use the Princesses names as password?

They were the password to access the DTD, which Tron then changed to Sora Donald and Goofy.

Could Xehanort have changed it when he took Ansem's identity?

Hm...actually there you go again, making me question my own theroies! You make more sense than I do! Actually, yeah, that could be possible.

Ooh I was looking for a post like this. I just want to add this little thing to the equation...

Seems like Alice is in the new pc game...probably meaning that the Princesses are reincarnated. I wonder...

I believe it was mentioned before that time varies from world to world so I think it's a mix between reincarnation and the princesses, not so much being "ageless" but potentially living for a long time (long time depending on what world one lives on). e.g. in KH1 we see some of the princesses that we get in BbS and it's apparent they haven't aged much between these games. It's possible that some of them have lived a very, very long time but in there respective worlds it only feels like a few years. Since she was so young in BbS Kairi's the only one that I could imagine having been reincarnated because time seems to move in line with DI's. And because she's not a "Disney character" they don't have to worry about keeping her age/appearance consistent in the same way they would have the other princesses.
