OH NO! Japan was hit by an earthquake and then tsunami earlier today. My thoughts are with the people living in the affected areas (northern Japan). I think they'll be better off than New Zealand because Japanese building are designed to survive earthquakes.

 

p.s. I hope square enix's buildings weren't destroyed. (as well as all the others)

Japan was hit by an earthquake? wow, that's really bad I hope the people there are alright, hopefully it wasn't as bad as Christchurch, and hopefully the tsunami wasn't as bad as Queensland (yeah, I only know local disasters, I don't know disasters that happened beyond here and New Zealand) My hopes go out to them, hope they're ok

This earthquake is said to be the worst that Japan has seen in past 300 years. In my study hall, we were watching the news reporting on the tsunami and Japan, and about Hawaii that was recently hit. I feel really bad for the people that have lost their homes, farms, pets, and family members in Japan, Hawaii, New Zealand, and the other places that have been hit by the tsunamis. To those that are still alive, I hope they're safe and with their families.

No offense to you, but couldn't you feel just a little sympathetic? Some people aren't just losing a house, or some expensive electronic device. Some are losing family members, and some are losing their lives. The least you could do is stop thinking about whether one game is going to be made within the close future, and start thinking about other people. What if a tsunami hit where you live? Would you be worried about video games, or for your life, or your family's and friends'? Please, just think about that for a bit.

Ok, so Japan just had a 8.9 earthquake and about 64 aftershocks and even a tsunami, and you care about kingdom hearts being slowed down?

This is terrible! I wish to Japan a quick recovery, and I remorse for the deaths. I give the many affected by this quake my best.

Not going to repeat what has already been said a few times, but I would listen to them. It really depends on how much the earthquake affected the city where the Square Enix building. I think it would be safe to say that it probably will delay the game at least slightly.

just want to say, to EVERYONE specifically wishing Square's safety, stop being so selfish and think about all the people in japan, not just your favourite game publisher

All we did in social studies and geography today was watch the news about this. My friend's uncle, aunt, and cousin live in Japan so she was worried today and I've heard the tsunami might hit California where someone from my familiy lives.

From what videos I saw the earthquake wasn't that bad compared to the tsunami AND there's a whirlpool off the coast:

Okay Nomura is either safe in SE tower or he's on a plane far, far away from Japan. Wikipedia and Wiki is full of miss imformed people that make up lies all the time.

I hope everyone is alright, hopefully that the death toll wont rise that much. As for all the people who have died, I hope that their families are alright. Disasters like this are always sucky, and I hope that Japan will have an easy time of rebuilding after this as well. As for the other places that were hit, I hope that everyone is alright there as well.

Yes. If its not made than I'll go to Japan and hunt down Nomura and Square-Enix and personally drag Nomura to the front of my house and force him to make KH3.
