Have you ever wondered, what Kingdom Hearts would have been like, had it just been a Square Enix game without the inclusion of Disney. Or what it be like if was a Disney game, without the inclusion of Square?

How would one function without the other? Would it work? Would you like it as much?

Square without Disney: Obvious answer is Final Fantasy: Kingdom Hearts.

As opposed to just comparisons to existing games, how do you think the story would function with Donald, Goofy, the Disney Princesses, and worlds, gone?

In the case of Square without Disney, a lot more time would be needed in game to set up each world's story.

well I really can't imagine kingdom hearts without disney. It will probably just be another final fantasy game

For Square without Disney, it would have to be either all Final Fantasy worlds, or a hell of a lot more original worlds.

For Disney without Square, it just wouldn't even exist because Disney are douches these days.

It would have been awesome, no offense but I like the FF worlds a lot more and the original words a lot more than the Disney worlds.

That's a good question to think about. Well, I believe that te only reason it's so hard for us to picture KH without Disney or FF in the picture is because we're so used to seeing 'em. Think of it this way. Without Disney I can say it'd either be another FF game or, there'd be so many characters to replace the ones missing (such as Donald, Goofy, ect.) that when you also add in the FF characters shown (Leon, Yuffie, ect.) it'll be much more confusing towards gamers. I'd be like: Is this an original or another FF game?

 

Now I don't think the same can be said for Disney. Since it has such a wide variation of characters, without FF it really wouldn't be hard to replace them with either new characters or Disney ones that haven't been used. So the game experience wouldn't be as odd or confusing.

 

At least, that's what I think.

Without Disney it would handle fine. Heck it may have it advantages. Without Square though it suck.

I feel that without disney, they would need to use a differnt game company.

For companions, I would prefer some others than the two quiet, stoic characters and put in Yuffie and/or Laguna Loire.

As for a Maleficent replacement...Sephiroth could work though I think that Ultimecia what work better.

It seemss to me that most of you are quickly dismissing Kingdom Hearts without Disney, or just saying Mickey would carry the game. Personally I think Hingdom Hearts without disney - woudn't even exist. It would merely be extra time spent all those years ago on final fantasy 8 ( or whatever they were on then. )

 

Kingdom Hearts without Square Enix would be good, but not great. It would be missing epic cutscenes and music ( what makes final Fantasy games for me) and would not have nearly as good of a storyline, but would still be a mediocre to good game, but would not have drawn as many insane fans, as it has. { Like me : ) }
