Posted July 27, 201114 yr For a 1 minute cutscene (from KH2, in HD 720p), what would be an acceptable file size? Remember, the larger the size, the better the quality.
July 27, 201114 yr 30 seems rather good. Thats what some of my videos on my computer has and most play in HD
July 27, 201114 yr Well, it needs to taper down given the length of the scene, of course. If broken down into small segments, large file sizes are just fine. If that scene is 10 minutes long...? I don't want 500mb, really, because that's literally the size of my entire Reverse/Rebirth folder in one go. You have to set a cap somewhere. To put it in perspective, look at some of Birth by Sleep's files. It's 10 to 12mb/minute, most of it. Granted, I can imagine it will be a lot harder to get a quality rip from from a PS2 game. For the love of bandwidth, don't go over 30mb.
July 27, 201114 yr I'd say in the range of 20-30. I trust your own judgement, though. Test out different file sizes and see at what point is the quality good and the file size is reasonable.
July 27, 201114 yr birth by sleep is a great game good job like if you agree I don't see what that has to do with KH2 in 720p. lol
July 28, 201114 yr 20mb. Definitely not 50+. For a long video that would mean a crazy file size. People don't think properly before voting lol. For example. A 10 minute cutscene would have a filesize of 500mb. Thats almost as large as most 1.5hr DVD rips. Clearly way too large.
July 28, 201114 yr I say 30 MB. I know their being extracted but cutscenes like A Connecting Dream, Birth by Sleep etc, should be in the absolute highest possible quality regardless of file size.
