Just random detail I noticed while finishing Kingdom Hearts today (no, this is not my first time). In the final boss battle, when Ansem wields this double-ended spear thing, both blade ends are identical to Riku's sword.

 

I just found it fascinating. x3 I guess it has to do with dark associations and all that? I mean Riku's sword, Ansem's spear, and Vanitas' Keyblade all have that weird bright blue eye thing somewhere on the weapon. Probably not important, it just interested me that I'd never noticed it before when playing the final battle.

As well as Chaos Ripper and MX's Sword. However, Ansem's Spear is pretty much just two Soul Eaters connected.

Well, he was possessing Riku, so I guess it makes sense that he uses the soul eater, which is pretty much a darkness sword.

True. But Riku was still using the same one in KH2, and then it pretty much turned into his Keyblade at the end of the game. And he had it before meeting Ansem in KH1. But I guess it's not really important anyway.

I didn't notice my first time through either, I was too busy fighting him! It's odd but I usually do one frantic run through of a Kingdom Hearts, then a second where I've pretty much learned how to break the system and overpower myself (especially in BBS)
