Is there anything you're looking forward to this school year?

Posted

So by now people have started school, some haven't. While i haven't started my school year yet, I am excited for it. Sure, I'm not looking forward to homework, certain classes, and seeing some of the kids in my school. But there are little things that can make the school year better. Also, since it's the start of the school year, surely there are some goals you want to accomplish as well.

And that is what this thread is for; for putting those ideas down to show that school isn't all that bad.

So, is there anything that you're looking forward to this school year?

Any goals you want to accomplish?

Any classes you're excited about?

For me, I'm excited about being a senior. I get to leave early on Wednesdays and come in late on Thursdays as long as I keep an 85 grade point average. I also get my own parking spot and can finally drive to school. It's also my final year of high school, so that's something to celebrate.

Goals for me? I want to try and get on the high honor roll each quarter. Last year I was always one point away from being in the high honors, so I definitely want to prove I can get myself up there.

Classes? Well, in physics this year we're making rockets, so that's gonna be awesome. But I'm more excited about my graphics arts and digital media class. I finally get to learn how to use photoshop, and make t-shirts and work on a bunch of other projects. Then there's my English class, and I'm only really excited for that because I heard my teacher is awesome.

What about you guys?

Since I had to take a year off of school, I'm so glad to be going back this year. I'm just looking forward to having work to do and working hard to get good grades. Every A or B I get lifts my spirit. I would also be looking forward to tutoring the Jpn 103 students but it looks like the class might be dropped :( My goal is to get nothing below a B and send an application to the Uni I want to transfer to. And get a job at the school if I can ^^

Nope.

Retaking Anatomy & Phisiology I and taking Drawing II. Nothing special.

What am I looking forward to this school year? The last day of school, of course.

Senior Year.

Need I say more?

I guess a goal would be just to pass everything, which isn't hard. o3o

Kind of excited for pals....

Curse you! I was going to say that.

New School + First year in high school + more students than any other school I have gone to + schools interior looks like it hasn't been painted in 20 years + combination lock lockers + me being horrible with meeting new people = Please help me.

I dread college and am excited at the same time. As long as it does not go like Orientation, had a dinner with other people in utter silence with people staring at each other's food. Just graduated in June. Whether or not it actually applies, it's close enough that there's no point creating a similar thread.

Let's see... it's my last year on my school so what am I going to do?

1: Try to get good grades.

2: Since I'm the prankster of the school I'm going to do the Brown Bomber on one of the school toilets.

3: Try to get Stardust Dragon from a friend of mine.

4: Get the best grade in P.E.

5: Try to use stink bombs on all classrooms of the school (I'm halfway!)

well i guess have good time in my classes plus this is my last year in high school the newspaper class should be badass be able to criticize everybody jk but still its going to be a good year

First year of high school! 8D

I'm in my school's NJROTC program, so I'm definitely excited for that. We're going on a bunch of field trips, like to the Naval Academy and basically every Marine Corps/Navy museum in the state. During the summer, my dad said I might be able to "serve" on a Navy transportation ship. Not one of active duty, of course, probably just a short trip up to New York and back. (Yes, to me, that's fun.)

I'm also trying to start a field hockey team at my school. I know a few other girls who play, and we're hoping to maybe make it a school sport. (:

since it's my first year of high school, I'm really looking forward to meeting new people, as well as seeing some of my old friends again. (:

I guess my main goals are to be less shy, and to work up the courage to audition for drama in the Spring. xD

I started my freshman year of High School four weeks ago and I am loving it!

I'm running for Freshman Class President and I'm on yearbook.

I want to get all A's but I'll be okay with a B or two. I also want to get on Honor Roll this year.

My favorite classes are World History, English, Digital Arts and Spanish I mostly because my teachers for all of those classes are awesome. I cannot understand my Science teacher so I'm not really liking Science and I will always hate Algebra.

Since I live in Brazil, and we're in the middle of the school year.. then for this year, no.. but in 2012, when I'm going to High School.. Ah, then I'll be look forward to some things..
