During Sora's time in Castle Oblivion, Vexen shows Sora a memory crafted from "the other side of Sora's heart" which takes him to Twilight Town. Now it's common knowledge that Sora couldn't have travelled there before meeting Donald and Goofy in Traverse Town do to the fact that he grew up on Destiny Island, so how does he contain this memory?

 

Now many of you should already know that Ventus's heart finds its way to Sora at the end of BBS and after a brief conversation, Sora agrees to let Ventus's heart rest within himself. You also have to remember that Ventus was not originally from the Land of Departure, but instead was discovered by Master Xehanort and brought to the new world after being proved unfit to control the darkness.

 

So here's my theory: What if the sleeping memory discovered inside Castle Oblivion doesn't actually belong to Sora, but instead Ventus?

That being said, do you think Roxas being born in Twilight Town suggests Ven's heart found it familiar?

 

Awesome Theory. Noone but Nomura knows where Ven had originally came from. And with Ven's heart finding it familiar steers it being true, but don't hold me up on that. lol just agreeing with the theory.

I'd love it if Ven's homeworld was Twilight Town. The Old Mansion could be his old house. But I agree with Azure Flame. That memory was Roxas' not Ven's.

Back then it was meant to be roxas, but as the story evolves other explanations become possible. For example, the reason roxas can weild two keyblades because of ventus' heart, but back when Kingdom Hearts II came out, I doubt Nomura had came up with that idea.

I've always like the idea of Ventus being from Twilight town. Like I've said somewhere else, I think Master Xehanort would have been drawn to that world to search for someone to use to forge the X-blade given the world's balance of light and dark.

 

And you never know that the reason Roxas was born there was because Ven's heart lead him there. Ven likes to drag people around to places he knows, like taking Aqua to Land of Departure in the final episode.

Yeah. He went into a coma-like state until his heart connected with a newborn heart (Sora) When he awoke, he had no memories and seemed almost emotionless, from what we saw in the flashback to where he first met Aqua and Terra. He didn't get his memories back until he saw Vanitas at Destiny Islands.

I guess my point was it's possible that Ventus doesn't even remember his home world. I think it's possible that Ventus didn't get his memories back when he saw Vanitas at Destiny Islands. What he saw was Vanitas' creation, which very well could have been Vanitas' own memory. Regardless, I agree that Sora saw Twilight Town while in Castle Oblivion because of his connection with Roxas, not Ventus.

We never find out why Roxas came into being in Twilight town in the first place, this my be why.

God Kingdom Hearts is so confusing. That's what makes it epic though.

We don't know that for sure, we only know that it happened to Roxas. It could be different for everyone else.

No, that's just how Xigbar sees her. Xion is just a replica made from Sora's memories.
