The most underrated Kingdom Hearts game

Posted

Out of all the Kingdom Hearts games you have played, which one is the most underrated? In other words, which one is not appreciated or loved enough?

I believe Kingdom Hearts 2 is the most underrated. I say this because of its reception and review scores. I notice a lot of KH fans do not like it or do not give it the credit it deserves.

Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memeries. Everybody hates the battle system but the story is amazing

I don't understand why everyone hates Days.

Chain of Memories and Re:Coded; they didn't get much attention, and I loved them both! D':

Chain of Memories. The story is vital to pretty much every KH game, and the card system is the most strategic system in the entire Franchise. The 2D combat was really satisfying as well.

Also, excellent music.

I don't understand why everyone hates Days.

This.

Also, (Re:)CoM doesn't deserve all the hate it gets. It's story was absolutely amazing, and the battles were very strategic (which is why it is so hard).

Days. I really liked it, and it makes me confused about why everyone hates it.

Kingdom Hearts 2? Underrated? Nope.jpg.

Almost the entire Kingdom Hearts fandom revolves around KH2. This is mostly because of the Organization, and the female portion of the KH fandom (which is about 60% of it, give or take,) goes nuts over hot guys in cloaks.

I think Chain of Memories is really underrated. The playing style and the whole thing with the cards make me rage every time, but my God, the storyline and general game itself is pretty damn awesome.

These.

Birth by Sleep. Square should have named it KH0: Birth by Sleep or something because people who don't follow KH just think it's another unimportant game to the series.

However, KH2 is one of the main kingdom hearts that received lower than deserved review scores. Yeah, KH fans like the characters, but ask them about the gameplay. Ask them how good the game is and they'll tell you it disappointed them.

KH2 had a lot of expectations and did not live up to them, but is still a good game.

Kingdom Hearts II and Days. Makes no sense. Their stories were awesome.

Re:Coded and Days. I think people forget about Re:Coded because it's story wasn't a huge contributor to the main story, but man is it a fun game. No other KH game has the variety of battle styles as that game. And flamers have turned Days into an unpopular game, despite how good of a story it has. Jerks.

Kingdom Hearts 2. If you didn't have it you wouldn't understand anything and the story was great and it helped understand a lot after the events of Days.

Days.

I really don't understand why people despise it. I like it more than CoM and Coded. There are even some days when I like it better than KH1. I like how Days was kind of a good old mystery. I also liked how we actually got to see the kind of friendship KH always talks about, but isn't always shown. It just made certain aspects of KH2 even more meaningful to me. And I think it added some depth.

It just seemed like a KH to me. Even more than CoM and Coded. You went to the actual worlds, and not all of them were reliving the KH1 worlds' plots. It was quite different, actually.

It's funny. Most of my friends play KH (but don't get on forums), and they loved Days. I wish they'd get on and share their views. LOL. Like my friend Michael. He liked Days because a lot of the KH characters annoy him. He really likes Roxas, Axel, and Xion, however. He also liked seeing the "bad guys'" side for once. I have to agree with the last part. I think he also thought Roxas and Xion's obliviousness was hilarious.

II' story: Sora goes around to random planets and does random stuff so a bit of the plot will finally show up. Then he goes around killing a group of people for no clearly defined reason before climbing into a heart shaped moon and slicing several cities worth of buildings in half.

Days' story: Roxas eats Ice Cream. Xion was there too. And Axel!

Not exactly brilliance...

Truthfully, I've never met someone who didn't like the gameplay of KH2.

I'm neutral about it. It seemed pretty much the same as KH1 if you ask me.

I agree with you on both games. I couldn't believe that people actually hate the story while it was so good and emotional...

Also coded is gimmicky but it's fun despite it's story.

Re:Coded and Days. I think people forget about Re:Coded because it's story wasn't a huge contributor to the main story,

Pretty much like all the games that aren't KH1 and KH2. lol

One thing about Days' that people complain about was the amount of scenes there were eating ice cream on the clock tower. I never really understood that, those scenes were some of my favorites in the game. I always looked forward to them at the end of every mission, and was always disappointed if there wasn't one after a mission.

All of the games that aren't for the ps2 are underrated. (except re:com, that is also underrated) People think just because it doesn't have "kingdom hearts 3" for the title, and just because it's on a hand held gaming device that it isn't good or important.

This. So much this. I hate how so many people think that if a KH game doesn't have I, II, or III in its title then it is unimportant or bad.

Definitely Days. It had a great story and characters, and I'd say it's my second favourite KH game (after 2). I'm not sure why people hate it, maybe because of the gameplay and overeating of ice cream? But I still thought it had better gameplay than 1, and I really loved the story.

And some more of this! CoM was the most important link of all the series! And it's story will still be used for DDD, since Ansem hid his research inside Sora while he was sleeping. Although the card system may seem annoying, it lets us execute many cool techs.

Com: The most underrated.

Re:Coded, COM and Days.

I actually wished for these games to not exist that what when KH 3 comes out, all of those jerks wont have a clue to whats going on. If it wasent for those games, everone would be like "WHAT THE FFFFFF IS HAPPENING?!"
