9 is waaaaay better than 7.

It's all left up to opinion, an that's yours. In my opinion 9 was the second best on the ps.

Yeah. It's always opinion. I still love 7. I just love 9 way better. For the most part I think most Final Fantasy games are great.

Ad while everyone's looking at other Final Fantasys, I'll be looking at 9....shh, don't tell anybody.

And FFVII, VI, and IX are my top three FFs.  Guess I'm a freak.

I would like to mention that ff7's amazing sales allowed square to make more risky games like xenogears and kingdom hearts

FFXIII is great if you see it as a stand alone title, this means without comparing it to other game in the world.

FFX is also amazing.

This Years Hipsters choice final fantasy game goes to: Final Fantasy VI! I think at this point ff6 is the most overrated. It's apparently cool to hate Final Fantasy VII now because people think it's overrated. At this point there are more haters for the game than there are people who like the game. Final Fantasy VII is awesome. People who like it don't like it purely because of nostalgia or because it's 3d. It was the first final fantasy game that   created that kind kind of atmosphere and characters. It was one of the first games to make a player cry. It was one of the first games not to have a simple save the world story. Final Fantasy 7 was one of the first games to have a 40-50 hour gameplay time. FF6 had a lot of characters but they weren't developed enough for me to really like them.

You clearly haven't seen the VII fanbase anywhere outside of VI videos. VI is honestly the only FF game I'd give a perfect score. I'm not disliking it out of either nostalgia or 3D, I'm pointing out that it has a ton of flaws, and the characters are too boring for me to give a crap about what's going on in the story. I never said the game was bad either...

I have seen the final fantasy vii fanbase, and i can assure you it's a lot better than those of cod or sonic. If it's someones favorite game that's fine. I loved the battle system and the materia system. What are your problems with the game? As for boring characters you have Aerith, and that's about it. Each character got whole sections of the game dedicated to them and i really got attached to them. In ff6 it had so many characters that only a few managed to be interesting and have much development.

I would much rather open up a chatroom to discuss the ups and downs of both ff6 and 7

The only characters I liked were Cid, Barret, Red XIII, and Yuffie. Cloud was the usual emo character, Tifa was fanservice without much of a personality, Sephiroth's motives were just plain dumb... Also, like I said, the level design was atrocious in some areas. I'd get stuck for a long time trying to figure out where to go because the foreground and background blended too often. You said that people only seem to hate it due to nostalgia or the fact that it's 3D, but honestly, that's why the fanboys praise it so much and don't look at the flaws. VI had a lot more interesting characters than VII in my opinion. Even if not all got development, quite a few got a fair share of the spotlight.

Cloud was like Terra with much more dialog, personality, and backstory. Tifa had a lot of ton personality, we were just too busy staring at her boobies to notice, If a scientist told you with a straight face that your mom was a creepy blue alien and then you saw it wouldn't you go a little insane too?

It was all Zack's fault. He said the "m" word.

Terra changed halfway in the game. She was also a lot more caring. Cloud barely cared about the party members aside from Aerith and Tifa. Also, Sephiroth wanted to destroy the world because his mother was an alien? That just sounds like an incredibly bad excuse honestly.

I'm beginning to regret saying that FFVII is my least favorite of the first ten, didn't think it'd lead to this...

Nah, I totally know what you're saying. It's nice but I feel like there are better ones. It just is (or was, I don't know) the most popular and well-known.

Exactly. It completely overshadows the other masterpieces, mainly the first six. It just kinda bugs me that so many people refuse to play the old ones because they're more kiddish, or they're on Nintendo systems, or something like that.

She didn't care about the party members. She cared about general leo and those kids who called her mommy

She seemed very friendly with at least Locke and Celes. Either way, she still cared about someone. Not to mention her backstory was a lot more interesting, or at least it was in my opinion.

I think you're oversimplifying it. It's more motive than kefka had.

People don't use logic when predicting Smash Bros characters. You wouldn't believe how many people think Cloud Strife and Master Chief have shots at being characters. Nintendo isn't open to all franchises. With the exception of Sonic and Snake, all characters are strictly Nintendo-only. Heck, Sonic and Snake were only included for VERY special reasons (Sonic due to his rivalry with Mario, Snake since the creators of MGS and SSB are close friends). Just because they added two third party characters doesn't mean they'll load 4 with third party characters. SSB is known for being NINTENDO'S crossover series, not Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft crossover.

Persona is really good but not as good as the other Shin Megami Tensei games and I don't like how it's being compared to them as well. Saying that you love the entire smt series and you only played Persona doesn't make the statement accurate because they both are different worlds. Play the other games to say.

Well that's how I feel.

i know, look at a lot of the top smash bros 4 characters lists. some of them only have 3rd party characters

let me dream

I don't want to grow up because then all of my cartoon crushes will make me a pedo.

I really don't like most places on the internet

they're usually unfunny and

most of the time involve recycling jokes/ memes and/or being really rude to each other... aswell as more unfunny offensive humor.

I also hate when people call this generation "the weakest" and say "we're too soft". I mean I think nowadays most people are a bit softer, but seriously why need to be mean anyway?

I hate it when people think they are anime characters. I used to talk to this girl online and it was firetrucking SCARY how much she thought she was an anime character, to the point of copying their speech patterns and everything. I was freaked.

I know right? But personally I hate when people complain about this generation in general because who raised us? DING DING DING. Who controls most of the media where we kids these days are so easily influenced by? DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING
