First off, she's not a hologram she's a computer generated voice with an anime mascot slapped onto the box the CD comes in. The singer isn't even the thing doing all the work. It's the humans behind the Vocaloid that do everything and they're so under-appreciated. Hatsune Miku and all the other Vocaloids are the figureheads of thousands and thousands of people that put their heart and soul into creating music. Behind each Vocaloid is a voice actor, behind every single note in a song is a composer, behind every set of lyrics is a songwriter and each and every one of them have created something so beautiful while using a computer generated voice as the Vocals. To be completely honest, the songs you see in the Vocaloid concerts do not do Vocaloid any justice. There are thousands of songs created by people out there that a truly beautiful and amazing. I like Vocaloid because of the true art behind it and I find it fascinating that many people are able to create music even if they weren't born with a beautiful voice. It might not be everyone's case but generally this is how the people feel who actually are into the fandom typically feel once they have learned enough about it.
