C's and K's are often interchanged in Japanese names when translated to English. For example, the 'proper' translation of Kefka is Cefca.

At least I remember when he was first revealed, most people believed it to be Kaias. Maybe it's changed since then.

announce it officially. Now they do the same thing in FFXIII-3! So, we have to wait a couple months and see..
