  1. 1. What did you think of Aqua as a Keyblade Master?

    • She is a true Keyblade Master.
    • She is a Master, but I think she should do a harder test.
    • She ain't no firetrucking Master.
    • No idea.
    • Poor Aqua, she's in the RoD. Give her a break.

Okay, so Eraqus made her a Master, but her exam was to destroy some balls and fight Terra.

Sora and Riku will have to fight in many worlds they don't know and wake them up, and must go back to the Misterious Tower after they find out HOW to do that!

Of course, Sora and Riku didn't have a proprer training like Aqua, but still...

Well, I think that Sora's and Riku's MoM Exam will be like a training, because Yen Sid will reset their powers, so they'll have to start without any abilities and they'll have to learn how to use the Keyblade properly, at the same time IT IS a MoM Exam.

Thats what i think...training and the exam at the same time

Her exam wasn't just to fight balls of light and Terra. Even if she had lost to Terra, she still could've passed the MoM exam. She and Terra fighting was for Eraqus to see how they would act in battle. I do believe that she is a true Keyblade master.

Absolutely she's a true Keyblade Master! On top of what MisterAqua said, you also have to consider that Eraqus had several years to get to know Aqua and Terra, with their strengths and weaknesses. Now, yes, her exam may have been a lot easier than what Sora and Riku will have to face, but like you said, she had years of proper training behind her already, and as Eraqus says, the Mark of Mastery exam is "a test of heart." He knew what Aqua's heart was like, and it (apparently) showed in the exam. Also, remember that when she took the exam, it was at a time of peace--there were no worlds or people that needed to be rescued or fought for. But whether her exam was easy or not, Aqua more than proves her worth throughout Birth By Sleep, especially when she sacrifices herself for Terra. Talk about strength of heart!

tutti frutti. In a way, I don't really consider Aqua too much of a Keyblade Master. Yeah, she sacrificed herself to help save Terra, and even passing the exam herself, but to me it kind of went to her head much like Ven pointed out in Radiant Garden. If the MoM exam was really a "test of the heart" like Always had mention, then Terra should have been able to pass, more so by being able to block out the darkness. (though I still think that Eraqus was being far too biased against the darkness, while Yen Sid gives the benefit of the doubt) I honestly see Sora and Riku as better Keyblade Masters than Aqua, despite not going through the MoM exam yet. To me the MoM should test the individual completely, much like what Sora and Riku are going to go through, as opposed to the exam that Terra and Aqua went through in BBS. How else can someone go from Wielder to Master without some type of "REAL" challenge in the exam?

Well, I guess it really depends on who is giving the MoM exam. Clearly, Eraqus and Yen Sid have different standards of mastery xD. Eraqus' logic was basically "loldarkness? u aint becoming no master", while Yen Sid is much more open-minded. ...But you'd think that Sora basically saving the universe twice (well, I guess it depends on how you look at it) would have earned him the title of master already...

tutti frutti. Yeah, you got me there MisterAqua, it does depend on how you look at it. Though I like how Yen Sid is more open-minded when it comes to darkness, especially in Riku's case, when it comes to the MoM exam. With regards to Sora, I think Yen Sid just wanted to be sure that Sora, much like Riku, was able to meet the requirements of being a Master. Should a person pass the exam, they shouldn't let passing get the best of them, or even make them above those around them. (though that's my opinion) Overall, nothing is really absolute in the KH Universe, much like how Eraqus was with Light, and how Aqua tried to "make" Ven listen to her by telling him to return to the Land of Departure.

Yes, she definately IS!

Although her exam was easy, if compared to what Sora and Riku will face, she spend years training. During all this time, Eraqus stood "looking" at her heart, and noticed that she deserved to be a Master! After all she has gone through after she was known as master make up for the easy exam. Having to face such terrible and bad situations... She really is a True Keyblade Master!

So from those who think that Aqua isnt really qualified because Eraqus' bias over the exam, do you think Eraqus is also disqualified to be a Keyblade master?

tutti frutti. I think that Eraqus was biased towards Terra in regards to the test. Being able to push away the darkness while under pressure like that during the course of the test is pretty impressive in my opinion. To me, it showed at the time that he was able to keep the darkness out, while keeping his cool. It make me wonder is Sora would have been able to do the same thing if something similar happened to him. Even though Yen Sid have different views on how the MoM should be performed, at least Yen Sid wansn't as biased against Riku for using darkness. If not for MX tampering with Terra's exam, it would make you wonder if Terra would still past.

I was under the impression that the darkness that we saw during Aqua and Terra's battle was not actually Terra's own darkness, but the doings of MX in order to make Terra fail, setting the path for Terra's actual darkness to grow.
