Abilities granted to Keyblade Masters

Posted

I decided to play a bit of Birth By Sleep for the first time since it first came out =D. But this caught my eye, on the Xehanort report, MX wrote "Us keyblade masters have the unique ability to extract our heart, or the heart of another. By repeating this cycle it is possible to roam the world of the living forever."

Well something to that effect anyway, I can't remember the exact quote, it was that but worded differently.

So my questions are, doesn't that A) Mean that Aqua has the ability to do that? And http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.png Do you think that once Sora and Riku become masters (theories aside, let's presume they will pass for a second) that them gaining this ability might come into play in KH3's plot? Also we saw Sora do this already in Kingdom Hearts, so wouldn't that make him a key blade master already?

Discuss away, I look forward to hearing what people think about this, this line really made me think when I read it. I can understand Riku being able to do it in KH1 since he was being controlled by, essentially Xehanort who would have the ability. Maybe the reason Sora can do it is because Vens heart was connect to his? And if this is true then Sora, in effect is already a Keyblade Master... Sorry this is me really just thinking out load now.

well for me i think it would be like this a) Maybe but even if she did gain the ability to do it does not mean she knows how, for that she would need to practice it a lot and i dont see aqua as a person that would use that move. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/cool.png I dont not think it will come up for riku, sora maybe as a way to release ven's heart so we will see when kh3d comes out. c) but sora used the heart unlocker keyblade to do it so i say that was more of the keyblade doing it and sora just starting it so i believe he is still not a master at that time.

i don't think what sora did is what MX ment in his report, he didn't extract his heart to put in another container .. he stabbed himself with riku's keyblade to give kairi back her heart (which was awesome and reckless but whatever).. if he had known this, he probably would've never turned into a heartless/nobody either.

I definitely don't think Sora's a Master. If so, Yen Sid would be able to tell and wouldn't be putting him through the MoM. It just doesn't make sense. However, I do think Kingdom Key is special and might allow him to do things other bearers can't. It's the Keyblade of legend.

Also, Ven's not a Master, either. So that theory's out.

I think it was just because Sora used the Keyblade of People's Hearts (that could unlock hearts) to release the hearts to their rightful owners. I don't think it was an ability of his.

However, that does make you wonder why Ven's heart went into the forming Roxas. I know Ven's heart wasn't healed enough to go back to his body yet, but you'd think it would have had to by how the Keyblade of People's Hearts worked. Besides, it's not like Roxas was able to continue healing Ven's heart, so it's kind of pointless. Anyway, this is off topic. Feel free to ignore it.

Xehanort was refering to the ability to extract hearts. Period. He chose transferring it to a new vessel as an example seeing as he was already working towards that.

And I don't think I'm out of line by saying that no one else would probably take the risk of trying that, either.

You seem to forget that the weapon Sora used was for extracting hearts, hence why Sora used that instead of the Kingdom Key. He did not need to be a keyblade master since it wasn't a keyblade. Answer solved. You're welcome.

The keyblade that Sora used is created by Ansem SOD from the hearts of the Princess of Heart ,which means Xehanort heartless which mean MX himself , the keyblade got the ability to unlock a person's heart and also releasing the darkness within it ,so it is kinda Ansem SOD (MX) put that ability in the keyblade .

a ) No ,Aqua doesn't know how to do this ability , being a master doesn't mean that the person know everything about master's abilities ,for example : Mickey is a master but he didn't ride his keyblade ..because he didn't learn how to do it yet .

b ) As I said ,even if they were a master ,they wont know how to use this ability unless Yen Sid teach them how to do it .

c ) No ,Sora is not a master and what he did is explained above .

Yeah. I am stating to get it now ^^ thanks for the replies all.

Yeah, Eraqus definately wouldn't have taught Aqua how to extract hearts. Yen Sid is another story though...this will probably be important later in the story, ie getting Ven out of Sora. Mickey might know how as well, but it's not something he'd use. Then again, Xehanort noted in the game that stealing hearts was a power of darkness (lol heartless connection?), but he's sort of biased towards darkness and this doesn't mean you can't do it with the light. I'm starting to think that all heartless originated from keyblade wielders from the keyblade wars.
