Posted January 22, 201213 yr Popular Post I decided to make this thread to receive some feedback on my singing. You and I (acapella) only a part of the song, might cover it entirely in the future with music
January 22, 201213 yr Spare my feelings and stop sounding so stunningly amazing. Go find yourself an agent, girl.
January 22, 201213 yr sweet! I do sing myself, but I am wondering if you were nervous during this? I felt like I needed to breath for you at some point. But in all honesty, it wasn't bad at all! I haven't heard the original song though so I can't say everything I said on complete accuracy. If you want the link me singing karaoke, just ask haha but beware the audio quality is terribly bad.
January 22, 201213 yr A Biiittttt out of tune at some parts, but omg. Thought it was a man at first for some reason, lol. You're really good!
January 22, 201213 yr Author Spare my feelings and stop sounding so stunningly amazing. Go find yourself an agent, girl. im not hot enough tho ))): Amazing. You have talent. Lots of talent. thank you! sweet! I do sing myself, but I am wondering if you were nervous during this? I felt like I needed to breath for you at some point. But in all honesty, it wasn't bad at all! A bit nervous, but it might just be the vibrato in my voice you're talking about? As well as the fact that I have habits from choir take make me take really quiet breaths and not breath for at least 4 measures A Biiittttt out of tune at some parts, but omg. Thought it was a man at first for some reason, lol. You're really good! I have a really low vocal range :U I can kind of sing tenor
January 22, 201213 yr Wow! not bad. that was great http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png
January 22, 201213 yr Why don't we have a Vocaroo thread for singing yet. Why. Anyways you're really good. Better than I will ever be. Need moar Koko singing. :T
January 22, 201213 yr Hmm I'm kind of impress. I have to say some parts out of tune but still a good performance. With a little work on vocal range and some little stuff here and there you should improve. I would like to ask, do you do any breathing exercises? And if so what kind? Also do you practice using your diaphragm to sing?
January 22, 201213 yr The talent you have is amazing better than half the singers out there (no offence ) so sing more songs please?

January 22, 201213 yr I haven't done any since I quit choir, since my biggest fault was breathing in the wrong places and falling short of breath mid song. And I try to! OK then, I was asking cause I notice you were taking small but deep breaths in the video. Well to practice your singing those breathing exercises will really help in the long run. It will help with your breathing and make it easy hitting notes when need be. Especially using your diaphragm. Also what do you mean by that? You try but have a hard time figuring it out?

January 22, 201213 yr I wouldnt say its amazing, but you have something there. I like the tone your voice has. You should get some vocal lessons so you can learn to control your voice well.
January 22, 201213 yr I try, but I'm not always sure if I am or not basically Hmm I see, well I see you were in choir so I'm guessing you do have basic understanding of using diaphragm correct? So what is the main problem that you feel when trying use your diaphragm? Also I apologize if it seems like I'm asking too many questions.
January 22, 201213 yr Wow your pretty good, but you sound like your trying to hard....mabye you should sing a different song maybe.....

Despite being in choir i never understood what using your diaphragm was Wow your pretty good, but you sound like your trying to hard....mabye you should sing a different song maybe..... i'll sing what i want tho and i just have a strong voice when i sing in a lower range and i tend to get really into it when it's a song i like lol wtf is this shit ur mom and me doing it xoxoxo
January 22, 201213 yr Your voice sounds pretty good. I like the tone of your voice. However, I felt like I was short of breath listening to you. Either you can go a long time without inhaling, or you are very good at taking short and quite breathes. I don't really think this a bad thing, and if you are able to sing this way comfortably, then I don't really see anything wrong (please note, I am not the one to ask about proper breathing and stuff like that, as it was always my weakest area in singing). I would like to point out that around the 31 second mark, you seem to lose... energy (for lack of a better way to put it) and "you" seems out of place with the lyrics preceding it. I am not familiar with the song, so if that is how it is in the actual song, then I am sorry. Other than that, you did well, good job. Oh, and I will also congratulate you on making me enjoy a song by an artist whose music I normally hate. One more thing, is your voice that deep when speaking, or is it just your singing voice? Just curious is all.

Oh, and I will also congratulate you on making me enjoy a song by an artist whose music I normally hate. One more thing, is your voice that deep when speaking, or is it just your singing voice? Just curious is all. Thank you! I think I'm just good at taking quick short breaths since that's what I taught myself to do since I don't have the lung capacity to go without breathing for very long! I try to keep my energy up, but sometimes it drags, but i see what you mean! I have a pretty deep strong voice compared to most girls, but I actually have a pretty decent range and can sing pretty high. This is in more of my chest voice, lower range. I'll post something that's a little lighter and higher sometime soon! This was kind of rushed and definitely not in key, but I wanted to show my higher range. I tend to have more difficulty in power and breathing when singing in my higher range, so I sound really out of breath towards the end frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>
January 22, 201213 yr Despite being in choir i never understood what using your diaphragm was Ah OK then well, I was in choir and band myself so I have pretty good understanding of using the diaphragm. It's like when you lay on your back, when you breath you can notice your stomach expands. That's what its like. Try singing lying down because this forces you to use the diaphragm. Another way is is sinking in your stomach and hold it in tight. At the same time hiss as you sink your stomach in. Do that 3 to 4 times. After the 4th time sing note and loosen up you stomach as you sing. That should show how it feels using the diaphragm.

You've got a beautiful range. I'm not a musical expert, so I guess my opinion probably doesn't hold much weight, but I think you sound great! (:
January 24, 201213 yr You sound really good and you can actually be better than that. You sound kinda nervous. If you can wash that nervous-ness away and gain more confidence, you will definitely be better. Anyone can do a high-note so if you're good with other singing notes, you can practice more on your high-note. Other than practicing on your Confidence and High-key notes, you are good to go. =)
