i know I'm probably going to have been the last person to have realized this but, xemnas told the rest of OrgXIII that the only way for them to become whole again is if they complete kingdom hearts but I only just realised after knowing for about a year that the way for a nobody to become whole again is if their heartless is destroyed and so are they(the nobody). So I'm guessing that xemnas wanted kingdom hearts for a completely different reason, i dunno maybe he remembered things about his old life as MX and wanted to complete kingdom hearts in order to kick start the keyblade war. You're probably all gonna call me thick for being so slow but I honestly don't care, just wondering what you guys think on this?

Yes, Xemnas lied about restoring their hearts. It was all for his own selfish reasons to either take over the world or restart the Keyblade War or whatever he was planning on doing.

Org. Members wanted heart only because then they can be 'humans' again.

If Nobody and Heartless die, original somebody returns.

Maybe Xemnas didn't know that or he didn't want to kill himself 'cause he knew there were easier way.

Yeah Xemnas wanted Kingdom Hearts for the power he could gain from it. Xigbar was also aware of this. It's also possible that Marluxia, Larxene and Vexen also had an idea that Kingdom Hearts could or would be used for another reason than just granting the Organization members hearts.

Well i think it was all because Xemnas wanted his old memories but, cuz in final mix he calls the aqua armor "old friend" so i think his memories of his past are fuzzy so he was goin to use kingdom hearts to "become hole" if that makes sence, an with becomeing whole he might even get the power of the keyblade back

I don't know, I kind of want to believe that Xheanort, Xemnas, and Ansem (IE, the Heartless one) all had their own sentient being, with their own agendas. In each game, they all seem to have a plan which mostly benefits their own existence exclusively. The Heartless Ansem wants to get into Kingdom Hearts in order to fill all the worlds with darkness; Xemnas wants it in order to have claim of all hearts and become complete; and Xheanort wants it as a trigger for a war. Really, none of these plans seem to immediately benefit the other, so to think that they're all part of the same grander scheme doesn't hold up, in my thoughts.

He lied to the others just so they'd collect hearts. He lied just to get votes. Like a politician.
