So, do you plan to get the Wii U when it comes out? I plan on getting one ( but not exactly on the first day it comes out. Getting it when some games like Smash bros and Zelda come out for it). The graphics look great on it and I just know that it will have a great lineup of games over time. I am hoping that it will come with a VC where you can buy GameCube games. That would really convince me (and other Nintendo fans) to buy the Wii U.

  • Rob told you guys the Wii U would be priced at $1-$1000.

  • if there will be a kingdom hearts game on it, hell yeah!

  • I've been and, you all are god damn party poopers. If you can't fit in $300/$350 into your budget, I don't know why most of you are going to get the other consoles coming out. If you could save money,

I don't need one. My Wii is the console out of all I have I hardly use.

I wait for the next PS or maybe X-Box.

Same here. I'm just gonna get it because I feel like I have to have every console. :P Plus then if I bitch about it I can back it up. haha

I won't bother until the good games are released like Smash Bros.

Nope.

Way too expensive.

It's only 50 bucks more than the Wii was.

That'll probley be the only good game.

Nintendo home consoles have never interested me for some reason. So no. x'D

There's gonna be a Bayonetta 2?! O__O

Maybe when/if a good Silent Hill game comes out for it.

No love for Super Nintendo? :(

Had I known what games would come for the Wii then I would never had bought it. I have a few games I like for it, but that's not worth it. I like the PS3 the most. Nice for online gaming. Wii fails me here and if I use my Box... well, I don't want to waste money for something like internet 'coz I already pay for it, lol.

Now that's an exception. SNES was the 1st to expose me to gaming back when I was like, what...6? I'd totally buy one for the nostalgia. : D

It doesn't really interest me that much, but I think I'll end up getting it, I've owned almost every nintendo console since the gameboy color, not that I'm a nintendo fangirl or anything, it was just an unintentional pattern, so if the pattern continues I'll probably end up owning a wii u too :/

Yeah I just play smash bros on mine. Oh and mario party because it's the only game my girlfriend will play with me. I like my PS3 the best. The only thing I use my XBOX for is minecraft. haha

You should. It has the best games ever.

it's a possibility I'll get it but Im more into looking forward too the Xbox 720. I'm not a Nintendo person :I

I`m very confused why people keep complaining about the price of the Wii U.

Especially considering the only people who are complaining are the people who get the North American price...

I mean, pretty much ANY other brand new console would cost a LOT more than that...

I mean, if you don`t want something, that`s all well and good, but I`ve been seeing a lot of pretty shitty reasons for it.

Usually the Nintendo console release dates fall right on or near my birthday, and this time it's directly on my birthday, November 18th. And the website has a countdown timer counting down to the release of the WiiU (selling them for about $299.99 for the 8gb and 349.99 for the 32gb last time I checked), which is kind of like a countdown to my birthday now. I just thought that was kind of cool, here's the link:

http://www.nintendo.com/wiiu?om_rid=AAOo0h&om_mid=_BQUf9$B8t5-vQz

That is all.

I'd get the WiiU, but we're going through some financial troubles, and if I were allowed to get something at that price, I'd rather get a NetBook/Tablet for school, so I can use it for college later on, and I can always use that for leisure too...

Anyone with me for "The WiiU price is too damn high campaign?"

Happy belated birthday!!!!! :3

Thanks!!!! <3

Hoh-hum. It's typically around a console's release when video gaming politics ramp up. Granted, what people have said here is generally tame. No fights over the whole issue, or at least I haven't seen any. But it's on websites that focus on gaming as a whole where the console wars turn nasty. IGN and GameFAQs is a prime example. It really reminds me of pre-schoolers arguing feverishly over who has the best toy. Throw in the trolls and you've got a bad chemical reaction. Often I wonder what drives people to feel they have to defend the honor of their own favorite console while insulting others and wishing every day for the opposing game companies to fail.

The Wii U seems great. As I stated in the other thread, I've already preordered it as well. Most likely will preorder a PS4 as well when that is announced. I'm not an Xbox gamer mainly because Playstation and Nintendo have all the games I want. (Also have a somewhat decent PC for games. Can run Portal 2 at medium specs.) Plus I just don't have time for an extra console's worth of games, yet that does not mean I hate Xbox or anything.

So, I hope at least here, the console discussions continue to remain tame. Especially amongst the 20+ year-olds.

I do plan on getting a Wii U eventually. I was a Nintendo gammer first (I had to buy a PS2 and PSP in order to play Kingdom Hearts). I won't get it when it comes out. None of the launch games interest me.

Gotta wait until Christmas because I stupidly didn't save up money. FUUUUUUU

Dad: 'You can't wait 19 days?'

Me: 'IT COMES OUT NOVEMBER 18TH.'

Dad: '....oooooooooooh.'

:{

I don' know if I'll be getting one, but it looks like a cool piece of tech to be sure. Everything awesome about a DS in HD home console form? Yes please.

I also agree with hatok and Uncle Dolan, the price should really be the last thing to complain about. I mean, complaining $300 is too expensive, when the NextBox and PS4 will definitely be more expensive than that, and then saying you'll wait for the NextBox/PS4 is kinda going against your own point. Sure, people have economic troubles, and there are always reasons for why you might not want something, but what c'mon.
