Im sure everyone is wondering how axel got a keyblade, including myself.....so i came up with 2 possible theories on why axel can use one now:

1) Axel gained a keyblade because of his time spent with roxas...maybe a part of roxas is with axel or something like that......i remember from the kingdom hearts 2, axel said roxas made him feel like he had a heart.

 

2) this one is far out there but, in the scene in KH 3D where xehnort is trying to transfer a piece of his heart to sora, axel ends up getting in the way of his attempt. so maybe that piece of xehnort is with axel now instead of sora.

 

These theories are kind of dumb but let me know what you guys think anyway because it cause it is still a major mindf*#! for me.

Only time i remember him touching anything (like) keyblade was when he took Ventus wooden keyblade in BBS

I was thinking of Lea being hit by that Xehanort's heart piece was going to make kim a Nort too, but i definitely don't think so anymore, i bet he simply deflected the heart piece. Why? Because he's Lea that's why.

Stop calling him Axel, he is Lea now. And about your 2 theories... the first one is more logical.

Lea blocked that hit with his chackrams so No.

lea blocked it with his Chakrams, it had more to do with the bonds Sora had in his heart

I think Nomuare wanted to state that the Keyblade inheritance ceremony is more a formality, it has to do who has come into your heart

and Lea did com into Sora's heart by saving him

Lea gained a keyblade because, like what Master Xehanort said at the end of the game, the guardians of light are chosen naturally; he said this when he had sora and terra presumably on his side and as possible vessels for starting the keyblade war; He mentions this to them so they know that once he converts them, it will be a waste trying to gain them back as guardians of light aka keyblade wielders as two new replacements would be chosen to take their place, making his plan unstoppable and not having to worry about there not being enough lights to fight the 13 darknesses; mickey counts himself, aqua, ven, sora, riku, and terra as 6 with one missing (which was kairi of course) ; with the recovery of sora, that left one spot open as terra was/is now a vessel, which means that one light needed to be chosen and it turned out to be Lea; pretty easy to understand if you followed along

I follow completly nice theory, I can't wait to see what Lea does in KH3, if SE decide to start working on it before the next few years or so.

It's possible Lea had it before he even became a nobody; although they don't really mention it at all, we do know that Saix and Axel were rebelling against hte organization from the beginning, and he was wearing an organization coat apparently when he was turned...he seemed pretty self-assured when he summoned the keyblade (ie he wasn't surprised about it at all or anything--it wasn't an accident). I feel like there's more to Lea and ISa's past that hasn't been brought up yet.

Those theories were the ones that came to my mind at first... But since we're talking about Kingdom Hearts, I think the connection that Lea/Axel made with Ventus, Roxas, Xion and Sora made him acquire a Keyblade. I still think it's really weird that Axel actually blocked Xehanort's heart with his chakrams and Terra's Armor didn't... It's all really weird.

I think it's because when Lea was Axel, he helped Sora fight all those nobodies in KH2, basically dying for him.
