All this time i was wondering : Why both Sora and Riku unlock keyholes? That makes 14 keyholes in total right?

But after remembering Riku's symbol on his back ( the spirit symbol ) i realized smthing...

 

Sora is the only 1 who s been unlocking the worlds keyholes! Riku was within Sora's heart and dreams all the time. It actually makes sense, for example when we dream we can see people we know ,place we know but some situations can be slghtly different from reality or WAY different. Thats why Frollo in notre dame dies in 2 different ways.

 

Riku's keyholes ( i believe ) were those <<who sleep in sadness>> ,since Riku was within Sora's heart. Pretty much the organizations plan was to use Riku accidentally unlock <Sora's> keyholes ( this sounded weird lol ) so that Sora would become vulnerable and fall into darkness.

 

But: since the keyholes were originally 6 ( i believe again ) Young Master Trollanort doubled traverse town creating 2 parallel dream-realities ,splitting the Twewy gang, and 2 keyholes... time powers much? lol Im sure yen sid didnt know this much , he only knew what he said during his cutscenes at the mysterious tower.

 

Details: Since Riku is Sora's dream eater guardian , i guess thats why when he performs a d-link he gets FUSED with dream eaters while sora doesnt.

 

Conclusion: I think Riku actually passed the MoM exam because he managed to protect Sora despite the real organization plans using him to make Sora fall into darkness AND he protected himself as well. Does this actually mean that Sora failed because of Riku?

 

Edit: So if this is actually true, maybe the cloaked Riku in pranksters paradise that the real Riku encounters is in fact Sora's dream? Ya know dream and memories are somehow connected ( and similar sometimes ) and dreams are connected with the heart. Maybe thats why Nobodies managed to grow a heart as well

Riku was indeed in Sora heart, he was a dream eater. This wasn't planned by the organisation this to happen though.

i think the 7th keyhole isthe one from Destiny Islands though, but we need to have official translations of that..

Riku though passed for various reasons:

• He finally understands that he can't lock his darkness away but needs to channel it
• he saved his friend from Xehanort
• he is just down to earth
• and more..

YenSid: Through dreams shall you be tied to the worlds closed off by sleep Thats the actual reason Sora and Riku look longer. Yen Sid had to find a way to send them in the RoS and he chose to send them in Destiny Islands the way this world was 1 year before KH2.

Yeah i guess playing the game by ourselves is the best way to understand... ( Travels to Japan to ask Nomura )

dammit, i basically has a forum about this a week ago. DAMN YOU , meh, at least i know there is like 20 other people thinking the same thing as me. which comformed the point of riku saving the people in saddness, though heres a fun fact.

 

riku, only unlocks 6 keyholes, as sora opened the keyhole in destiny island which was 1 out of 7, from then on, riku follows within soras heart, unlocking the 6 people, who are laying dormant within sora, where as yet again, soras really saving the worlds unless, traverse town, riku wasn't in soras heart yet, as they kinda see each other, where as they don't in the rest of the worlds, which would mean its 5, which would also count, as lea technically is already coming back no matter what, and he was one of the "saddness", all the others, technically can't: roxas, xion, terra, aqua, ven are either lost, in a coma or part of sora. period.

I think that YMT ( T for trollanort ) converted Sora's dreams into sleep-reality ( sounds complicated huh? ) in that town to double it to make 2 keyholes. Its not too far-fetched since he can summon nightmares as well... And the last question: why Sora can see Riku in the end? Well.. nightmares plant bad dreams and hold the good ones. After riku defeats the TT nightmare he can see Sora but i doubt thats the ACTUAL Sora. Maybe he only sees his DREAMER. Sora dreams about riku, Neku dreams about shiki as beat dreams about rhyme. Joshua as he said, has no dreams because he used them onto making the city in the RoS. So, when both Sora and Riku defeat the nightmare boss, they manage to see each other.
