What did you think of the English trailer of KH3D?

 

Really nice, can't wait for this game!!!

Loved it, even better then the original in Japanese, it´s gonna be awesome, the only thing I don´t like about this game is the fact that they look like kids in those sleeping worlds : (

what did i think? well when i saw roxas talking to axel, all i could see was Robin from Young Justice lol made the trailer even better HAHAHAHA

 

Ironically, it's the other way around for me. Whenever I hear Robin, I always think of Roxas.

LOVED IT!!!! even though it i the same trailer that we have all watched with Engliish subs, it is nice to hear the word choices of NA and it is great to hear English actors (let's face it, they do a much better job at portraying emotion through voice). and Young Xehanort sounds far more mature than I pictured, and I like it!

The first time I watched YJ, I couldn't stop thinking of Ven *since he and Robin were more happy and what-not*. But now that so much time has passed, I thought, "Robin! *o*" when hearing Roxas speak in this trailer. xDDD

Shouldn't be there a "Not good" option? I didn't rly like it all that much. Voices sounded dif than other games. Joshua's voice... was dif in his own game (a lot more badass than this girly voice) and there were some mistranslations from the jap trailer kinda and just couldn't get into the atmosphere... I can't believe I'm saying this, but I prefer the jap version any time (and I'm way too used to english voices to suddenly like jap but it's true!).

i think the japanese version showed more emotion, but the english one was alright, although, the guy or girl who did josh's voice was terrible, also i kinda like YX voice better in japanese, just saying

I can honestly say I was slightly disappointed. The voices for Sora and YMX at the beginning made me believe it was a fake fandub trailer at first until i saw it was actually posted on here and i decided to watch the rest of the trailer. I don't understand why YMX now has a british accent, it just doesnt fit him well (except for his close up when talking to Riku where i thought he'd say his revenge was about to begin). Also, when Jeff Bridges commented on Sora's keyblade, i thought he was going to say "I've never seen anything like that." But he said "I've never seen it." It sounded so incomplete. But yeah, the voices weren't what i expected them to be. And the lines.. Not all of them were great. Lea's part though made me really excited. "Fine, lets jump right in." Loved it! I'm still gonna get a 3DS just for this game. I'm gonna preorder it and play it FOREVAR AND EVAR AND EVAR~

personally, the voice acting seems kinda weak in the trailer, but i know that it will be better in game, it was like that for BBS as well

I don't get why people think it doesn't sound like Haley. He sounds how Sora always sounds.. And the music is fantastic.

I wouldn't say it's unrecognizable, but isn't he supposed to be doing it higher for the more kiddy Sora? The KH1-CoM Sora voice, not the KH2 voice. That's what he looks like at least.

Not at all! lol Liam O'Brian's voice is very deep and gruff, while YMX's voice was very sophisticated and not at all deep. Besides, they already confirmed that David Gallagher is playing Young Master Xehanort. Although, i will say that, to me, it doesn't sound like David. I'm usually pretty good at picking out voice actors, though. Not to sound arrogant.

 

David Gallagher never confirmed to voice Young Master Xehanort. He said he voiced him as an extra small part in Birth by Sleep. He never said anything about reprising the role in 3D.

It wasn't really any mistranslations. They always changes some of the dialog in the English version.

Go down to the bottom of the page and play the video with David Gallagher and the Sora cosplayer. He confirms it, saying that he voiced him in a game that has not been released yet at around 8:45. At that time, that game would've been Kingdom Hearts 3D.

 

Although, personally i think that YMX sounds a lot like Benjamin Diskin who voiced Sai in Naruto.

Everyoene's complaining about the script changes and the voice actors; Sora is still the same, though it sounds like he's trying to raise his voice just a little to fit the younger look of Sora during the bulk of this game. I don't necessarily mind that, though - he doesn't sound TERRIBLE. YMX is VERY differet from David's usual tone, but I do think it's still him.

 

As for oshua... People are thinking that they changed his voice actor, but I don't think they did; I'd need to hear more to be sure, like if they released more trailers, but I do think it's still the original guy.

 

Also, I actually don't dislike the slightly more feminine tone for Joshua.

 

ALthough... not THAT much more feminine. I think that the effect we're getting is because the NDS compressed the voices all to hell, they all came out a little tinny and that alters the tone. Here we have them in true sound; they're bound to sound slightly different.

 

ANd, y'know, I actually LIKE most of the script changes....

 

Edit: After watching through again... Not quite so convinced it's Aaron Spann as Joshua - he's missing a tone the original had at the edge of his voice. But, even more convinced that it's Gallagher as YMX; the voice is MUCH deeper, but if you listen closely, all the tones match up to what you hear when he's Riku, just much deeper. Very, very good job of disguisng the voice - I almost couldn't tell they were the same.

Its awesome. But its a shame that its the exact Japanese trailer from earlier this year with English voices slapped on it. But it was still awesome =D

Yeah Sora's voice sounds different but so does Riku's. But thats okay because the characters are ageing and developing and so are the voice actors.

I personally believes that he either got some of his facts wrong or miss spoke. He says he voiced a small extra piece; a small extra role in the last game. Young Master Xehanort had a small role in BbS but, he does not at all have a small role in KH3D.

He also says in the video that when you hear it, it'll probably sound just like him. In BbS we can easily hear that Young Master Xehanort is voiced by David, but in the new trailer the voice is nothing like David's.
